ADP

ADP contains a nucleotide and two phosphate groups (Carbon represented as P in the image). It has ribose as a sugar, the same sugar in RNA, and the nitrogen group adenine. When ADP goes through synthesis, it releases a H20 molecule and picks up a phosphate atom, becoming ATP. By becoming ATP it can be used as energy.
